I’m currently using an ethernet cable to connect the two computers together. I’m wondering what I have to run on each PC to make them recognize each other, be able to share files, and most importantly, have the 98 machine be able to connect to the internet.

My setup is as follows: My main PC, the Windows XP one, connects to the internet via a router. I want the 98 PC to be able to connect to the XP machine and also get internet.

Can anyone help me?
My internet connection is Verizon DSL. I am 100% sure this will work because I’ve done it with friends, I just can’t remember how.

How do I open the case to install the card/adapter? I see no screws and I don’t want to use force in fear of breaking the tabs/case.
Once I get it open, I suspect it is fairly easy to install. Please help, as I want to give the computer to the kid as a Xmas present.
